Each order is individually bench made by a single upholsterer. We use neither an assembly line nor mass production methods, thereby allowing ​for more careful attention to the finish quality of each piece.

Frames

Our frames are hand crafted as a single unit using kiln dried solid hardwood. Frames are stapled, glued and corner blocked for optimum strength and rigidity. Our frame features a Lifetime Warranty (to the original owner) because of our confidence in the materials and construction methods used.

Seat Cushions

We carefully select the insert(s) we feel best suits each style, as a standard. We do have upgraded options available that may enhance your comfort needs.

Back Pillows

 

Our standard fill is a high-quality poly fiber designed for maximum resilience and comfort, encased in a channeled liner bag to prevent sagging.

Depending on style of pillow and desired comfort level, various fill types – including 10/90 down blend or synthetic down alternative "Trillium", may be upgraded.

We may recommend a soft foam core insert for your back cushion according to your custom needs.

Exceptional Seat Comfort

 

Standard seat cushions are 2.0 foam with a slick fiber wrap. After testing many different foam seat inserts, we found that a 2.0 medium density provides the most popular level of comfort

Upgraded foam is available as an option.

For added luxury, various cushion wraps may be specified such as feather blend and state-of-the-art synthetic Trillium. Trillium has gained popularity as it has memory for less maintenance and is non-allergic.

Another option available is an individually wrapped coil inner-spring cushion wrapped in 3.0 foam. This comes with a lifetime warranty (to the original owner). You may also use a Trillium or feather blend wrap for the ultimate sit. 

Sinuous Spring/ Sytex Webbing

 

The vast majority of our styles use quality American made sinuous springs. This provides long lasting superior comfort.

Some pieces use Sytex webbing depending on the type of cushion needed for that style.

Both adhere to our quality standards depending on each styles’ needs

8-Way Hand-Tied

 

For those traditionalists that prefer the old world excellence of seat springs, we offer "8-way hand-tied" springs as an option.

 

 

CertiPUR-US

 

Our seat foam is CertiPUR-US approved, meaning the foam is manufactured without ozone depleters, PBDE flame retardants, mercury lead or other heavy metals, formaldehyde or phthalates.  They are very low in VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions indoor air quality ( less than 0.5 ppm).
